Description

A warm, creamy baked apple pie dip that combines sweet cream cheese with spiced apples and a crumbly streusel topping, perfect for serving with crackers or fruit.

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 2 large apples, chopped

Streusel Topping

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray an 8x6-inch baking dish with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Creamy Apple Mixture: In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and apple pie spice until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Apples: Stir most of the chopped apples into the cream cheese mixture, reserving a few pieces to sprinkle on top later.
  4. Spread Mixture into Dish: Spread the creamy apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Prepare Streusel Topping: In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and melted butter until the mixture is crumbly and combined.
  6. Top and Bake: Sprinkle the reserved apples on top of the cream cheese base, then generously top with the streusel mixture (using about half, saving the rest for other uses).
  7. Bake and Serve: Bake the dip for 12 to 15 minutes until it is warm, bubbly, and golden. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any sweet, crisp apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • Save leftover streusel topping to sprinkle over muffins, oatmeal, or yogurt for added texture and flavor.
  • Serve warm with graham crackers, apple slices, or cinnamon sugar pita chips for dipping.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
