Description

Delight in these elegant Yogurt Covered Strawberries, perfect for a fresh and healthy treat with a charming pink gradient effect. Creamy vanilla Greek yogurt coats ripe strawberries, frozen to create a refreshing dessert or snack that's both visually appealing and delicious.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 12 fresh strawberries

Dipping Mixture

  • 10 ounces vanilla Greek yogurt
  • Pink food coloring (few drops)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly, then pat them completely dry to ensure no moisture remains, which will help the yogurt adhere better.
  2. Set Up Dipping Station: Line a large plate or cutting board with parchment paper to place the dipped strawberries for freezing.
  3. First Yogurt Dip: Pour the vanilla Greek yogurt into a small bowl. Holding onto the green leaves, dip each strawberry into the yogurt, swirling gently to cover the berry while leaving a bit of red showing near the top.
  4. Freeze Initial Coating: Place each yogurt-covered strawberry on the parchment paper and freeze for 15 to 20 minutes to set the coating.
  5. Create Pink Gradient: Dip 4 berries in plain vanilla yogurt. Then add one drop of pink food coloring to the yogurt and stir well; dip 4 more berries. Add a second drop of pink food coloring and stir, then dip the remaining 4 strawberries to achieve a darker pink layer.
  6. Final Freeze: Return the yogurt-dipped strawberries to the freezer for 40 minutes to 1 hour to fully set the yogurt coating.
  7. Serve: Remove the berries from the freezer just before serving to prevent melting and enjoy a cool, colorful treat.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help yogurt stick better.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during freezing.
  • Feel free to experiment with other food coloring shades for different gradient effects.
  • Serve immediately after removing from freezer as yogurt coating melts quickly.
  • Use vanilla Greek yogurt for creaminess and subtle sweetness.
