Description

This Sweet Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Air Fryer Toasted Sandwich is a quick and delicious treat that combines creamy peanut butter, melty chocolate chips, and fresh banana slices between toasted bread. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack, it uses an air fryer to achieve a crispy golden crust with gooey melted chocolate inside in just minutes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (any type you prefer)
  • 2-3 tablespoons peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • 1-2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1/4 to 1/2 a banana, sliced into rounds

Instructions

  1. Spread the Peanut Butter: Generously spread peanut butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will help hold the chocolate chips and banana slices in place.
  2. Add the Chocolate and Banana: On one slice, scatter a single layer of chocolate chips over the peanut butter. On the other slice, arrange a single layer of banana slices over the peanut butter.
  3. Combine: Place the slice with chocolate chips on top of the slice with the banana so the chocolate and banana meet. Make sure the chocolate chip side is on top to help the chips melt nicely over the banana. Push back any stray chocolate chips onto the bread.
  4. Cook: Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. Cook at 325°F (165°C) for about 6 to 10 minutes, flipping the sandwich every 3 minutes to ensure even browning and melting.
  5. Serve: Remove the sandwich, let it cool for about a minute, then enjoy your warm, melty, toasted sandwich!

Notes

  • You can substitute peanut butter with other nut or seed butters like almond or sunflower seed butter.
  • Use your favorite bread type—white, whole wheat, or gluten-free—to suit your preference.
  • Adjust the amount of chocolate chips and banana slices based on how sweet you like your sandwich.
  • Flipping the sandwich halfway through cooking ensures even toasting and melting.
  • Allow to cool slightly after cooking to avoid burning your mouth from the hot melted chocolate.
