Description

Ingredients
Marinade & Sauce
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- Juice from 1 lime
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Salmon
- 16 ounces skinless salmon filet, cut into 3 pieces
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce and marinade: In a small bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, salt, pepper, and chopped green onions. Set aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture to brush over the cooked salmon later.
- Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon pieces in the bowl with the remaining sauce mixture, turning to coat evenly. Allow the salmon to marinate for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Heat the skillet: Warm 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat to prepare for cooking the salmon.
- Cook the salmon: Place the marinated salmon in the hot skillet and cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Finish and serve: Spoon the reserved sweet chili sauce over the cooked salmon pieces. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
- Adjust sweetness or spiciness by modifying the amount of sweet chili sauce used.
- For garnishing, sprinkle additional chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
