Ingredients
Fruit
- 2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
Dairy
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt, Greek or regular
Liquid
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk of choice (vanilla almond, oat, or dairy)
Flavoring
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Sweetener (optional)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or sugar-free sweetener
Optional for Texture
- handful of ice, for a thicker, frostier texture
Instructions
- Add Ingredients: Add 2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries, 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to your blender. Include 1 to 2 tablespoons of sweetener now if you are using one.
- Blend: Blend the mixture on high speed until it becomes smooth and creamy, typically about 30 to 60 seconds. Pause to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure everything is well blended.
- Adjust Consistency: Check the smoothie’s texture. If it is too thick to pour, gradually add 2 tablespoons of milk at a time and blend again until desired consistency is reached. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen strawberries or a handful of ice to thicken it.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into one large glass or two smaller glasses and enjoy immediately while it’s cold and frosty for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use Greek yogurt for extra protein and a thicker texture.
- You can substitute almond milk, oat milk, or any milk variant you prefer for dairy.
- Add sweetener according to your taste preference or dietary needs.
- To make it even frostier, add a handful of ice before blending.
- Best enjoyed fresh to maintain the creamy and frosty texture.
