Description

This Strawberry Cheese Ninja Creami is a creamy, refreshing frozen dessert made with cottage cheese, strawberries, and a natural sweetener. Perfect for a healthy treat, it combines the fruity sweetness of fresh or frozen strawberries with the smooth texture of blended cheese, enhanced by vanilla and a touch of salt. Easy to prepare with your Ninja Creami Deluxe, this recipe offers a delicious homemade alternative to traditional ice cream.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup, honey, monkfruit sweetener, or agave (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In your Ninja Creami Deluxe pint container, add the cottage cheese, strawberries, sweetener, vanilla, and a pinch of salt to create the base for your frozen dessert.
  2. Blend Mixture: Use an immersion blender to blend everything together directly inside the pint container until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Be sure to scrape down the sides to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated and keep the mixture below the max fill line.
  3. Freeze: Level the top of the mixture with a spoon or spatula, then securely place the lid on the container. Freeze the mixture for at least 24 hours to achieve the proper firmness for processing.
  4. Process in Ninja Creami: After freezing, insert the container into the Ninja Creami Deluxe and select the Lite Ice Cream setting to churn the mixture into a creamy consistency.
  5. Re-spin if Needed: If the texture is too crumbly after the initial spin, remove the container and run it through the Re-spin cycle once or twice to improve smoothness.
  6. Add Mix-Ins (Optional): For added texture and flavor, stir in crushed freeze-dried strawberries, white chocolate chips, or graham chunks and run the Mix-In cycle on the Ninja Creami.

Notes

  • Ensure the mixture stays below the maximum fill line in the pint container to avoid overflow during blending or processing.
  • Adjust the amount of sweetener to suit your taste preference or dietary needs.
  • Use either fresh or frozen strawberries – if frozen, there's no need to thaw before blending.
  • For a vegan version, substitute the cottage cheese and milk with plant-based alternatives.
  • Store any leftovers in the freezer and re-spin in the Ninja Creami before serving to refresh the texture.
