Ingredients
Crust
- 1 ½ cups Graham cracker crumbs
- 6 tbsp Butter (Melted)
- 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
Filling
- 8 oz Cream cheese (Softened)
- ½ cup Powdered sugar (Sifted)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ¾ cup Heavy whipping cream (Whipped to stiff peaks)
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup (Pure)
Topping
- 1 cup Chopped pecans (Toasted in butter/sugar)
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- Pinch — Salt (Optional)
Instructions
- Make Crust: In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until the mixture resembles wet sand with an even consistency.
- Bake Crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a pie pan. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely to set the crust.
- Toast Pecans: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add brown sugar and a pinch of salt if desired. Stir in the chopped pecans and toast for 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant and caramelized. Remove from heat and cool.
- Beat Cream Cheese: Using a mixer, beat the softened cream cheese for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Add Flavor: Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and pure maple syrup to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.
- Whip Cream: Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks, ensuring it holds its shape well. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to maintain a light and airy texture.
- Fill Pie: Spoon the cream filling into the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle the cooled, toasted pecans over the top of the filling, pressing lightly to adhere without sinking.
- Chill Pie: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the filling to fully set and flavors to meld.
- Serve: For easy slicing, use a warm knife to cut the pie into 8 servings and enjoy.
