Ingredients
Ingredients
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 oz package freeze-dried strawberries (divided)
Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring the paper hangs over the edges for easy removal after setting.
- Process strawberries: Set aside about ¼ cup of the freeze-dried strawberries for garnish. Place the remaining strawberries in a food processor along with the sweetened condensed milk and pulse until the mixture takes on a bright pink hue, indicating a well combined strawberry infusion.
- Melt mixture: Transfer the pink mixture along with the white chocolate chips into a medium saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add strawberries and pour: Stir in the reserved ¼ cup of freeze-dried strawberries to add texture and flavor bursts. Immediately pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the surface evenly to the pan’s edges.
- Chill and set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, allowing the fudge to fully set and become firm.
- Cut and serve: Remove the fudge from the fridge, lift it out using the parchment paper edges, and cut into approximately 25 squares, each about 1.6x1.6 inches.
Notes
- If you don't have freeze-dried strawberries, finely chopped dried strawberries or fresh puree can be substituted but may alter the texture and moisture level.
- Use good quality white chocolate for a creamier and richer fudge.
- Ensure low heat when melting chocolate to avoid burning or grainy texture.
- This fudge should be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within a week for best freshness.
- For variation, try adding a few drops of vanilla or almond extract for enhanced flavor.
