Ingredients
Egg Mixture
- 2 Eggs
Dry Ingredients
- 5 Tablespoons Almond Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Psyllium Husk
- 1 Tablespoon Coconut Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Mozzarella Cheese
Wet Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Almond Milk
- 1/2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Gather all ingredients and measure them into small containers to streamline the cooking process.
- Mix Eggs: Using a hand mixer, beat the eggs until smooth and fluffy, creating a light base for the dumpling dough.
- Add The Rest Of The Ingredients: Add almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk, mozzarella, almond milk, and coconut oil to the whipped eggs. Mix thoroughly until the mixture forms a dough and is no longer liquid. Place dough into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
- Portion and Shape: Remove dough from the fridge and divide it into small portions. Shape each portion into small dough balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
- Steam: Prepare a steamer by filling a large pot with water, bringing it to a boil. Place a steaming rack or stand inside the pot. Line the steamer surface with oiled parchment paper and place the shaped dumplings on top. Cover the pot and steam for 15 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and fluffy.
Notes
- You can use any large pot with a steaming rack if you don't have a dedicated steamer.
- Ensure the dough is well mixed and rested in the fridge to help it firm up and be easier to shape.
- Adding psyllium husk not only helps the dough bind but also adds fiber, making the dumplings more filling.
- These dumplings are best eaten fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated by steaming again.
