Description

This refreshing Iced Mocha recipe combines rich homemade mocha chocolate sauce with cold brew coffee and milk, creating a deliciously creamy and chilled coffee treat perfect for warm days or any time you crave a flavorful iced coffee beverage.

Ingredients

Mocha Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (granulated or coconut sugar)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup mocha sauce (prepared above, additional use)

Iced Mocha Drink

  • 2 cups cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup cold milk of choice
  • Ice (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Make the Mocha Chocolate Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, honey, and cocoa powder. Bring the mixture to a simmer while whisking constantly to dissolve the cocoa powder fully. Let it simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Allow the sauce to cool completely and store it covered in the refrigerator.
  2. Prepare the Glasses: For each serving, pour a few tablespoons of the cooled chocolate sauce into the bottom of the glass. Add ice to fill the glass as desired.
  3. Add Coffee: Pour 1 cup of cold brew concentrate into each glass over the ice and chocolate sauce.
  4. Add Milk: Top each glass with 1/2 cup of cold milk, or adjust the amount to your personal taste preference.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Optionally, drizzle extra chocolate sauce on top for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade iced mocha.

Notes

  • You can substitute granulated sugar with coconut sugar for a slightly different flavor profile.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of chocolate sauce and honey according to your taste.
  • Any type of milk can be used, including dairy or plant-based options like almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • Cold brew concentrate can be replaced with strong brewed coffee cooled in the refrigerator if cold brew is unavailable.
  • Store extra mocha chocolate sauce in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
