Ingredients
Seafood Dip Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 6 oz can white crab meat, drained
- 6 oz can tiny shrimp, drained
- ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare it for baking the dip.
- Prepare the green onion: Slice the green onion thinly and set it aside for garnishing the dip after baking.
- Mix the base: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the seafood and cheese: Gently fold in the drained white crab meat, tiny shrimp, and shredded sharp cheddar cheese ensuring the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the dip mixture.
- Transfer and bake: Spoon the mixture into a small oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the sliced green onions evenly on top. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
- Serve warm: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm with crackers, toasted bread slices, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- Drain the canned seafood thoroughly to prevent excess moisture in the dip.
- For added spice, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
- This dip can be prepared ahead of time; assemble and refrigerate before baking.
- Use fresh seafood if preferred, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
- Pair with sturdy crackers or toasted baguette slices for the best dipping experience.
