Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make Hard Peach Iced Tea that combines the bright flavors of lemon and lime with sweet peach juice and a hint of vodka for a perfect summer cocktail.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 3 teabags (green or black)
  • 1 cup boiling water

Citrus Juice

  • 2 lemons (juice only)
  • 2 limes (juice only)

Sweetener and Alcohol

  • 3 tablespoons honey (or adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup vodka

Other Ingredients

  • 5 cups peach juice
  • 1 peach wedge (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon slice (for garnish)
  • 3 mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (as needed for serving)

Instructions

  1. Steep the tea: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Place the tea bags in a pitcher and pour the boiling water over them. Allow the tea to steep for 3 minutes to extract a robust flavor.
  2. Extract citrus juice: While the tea steeps, roll the lemons and limes on a hard surface using your palm to soften them. Cut each fruit in half and use a strainer over a bowl to squeeze out the juice, catching any seeds or pulp.
  3. Mix citrus and honey: Add the freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice to the pitcher with the steeped tea. Stir in 3 tablespoons of honey, adjusting sweetness to taste, and mix thoroughly until the honey dissolves.
  4. Add alcohol and peach juice: Pour in 1/2 cup vodka and 5 cups peach juice to the citrus tea mixture. Stir well to combine all the flavors evenly.
  5. Chill the tea: Remove the tea bags from the pitcher if a milder tea flavor is preferred. Refrigerate the mixture until thoroughly chilled, typically at least 1-2 hours.
  6. Garnish and serve: When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Garnish each glass with a peach wedge, a lemon slice, and a sprig of mint for an inviting presentation and refreshing aroma.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey according to your desired sweetness level.
  • Remove tea bags before refrigerating to avoid bitterness in the iced tea.
  • You can substitute vodka with rum or gin based on your preference.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit vodka and add extra peach juice or sparkling water.
  • Use fresh fruits for best flavor and aroma.
