Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 shallot, chopped finely
Instructions
- Prepare the skillet and steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Meanwhile, toss the sirloin steak bites with ½ teaspoon of sea salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper to season them evenly.
- Sear the steak bites: Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet. Sear them for 1 minute without moving to develop a good crust. Gently flip the pieces to cook the other side.
- Add butter, garlic, and shallot: Immediately add 3 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and the finely chopped shallot to the skillet. Cook the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally to let the flavors meld and the steak become tender while the sauce forms.
- Serve: Remove the steak bites from the skillet and transfer them onto a serving plate. Pour the flavorful garlic butter sauce from the pan over the steak bites. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, use a heavy-bottomed skillet or cast iron pan to achieve a nice sear.
- Allow the steak bites to come to room temperature before cooking to ensure even cooking.
- You can add fresh parsley to the garlic butter sauce for extra color and flavor.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice to soak up the delicious sauce.
