Description

This Creamy Grape Salad is a refreshing and indulgent dessert or side dish featuring a luscious blend of cream cheese, sour cream, and sugars, combined with a colorful mix of seedless red, green, and black grapes. Topped with crunchy nuts and a sprinkle of brown sugar, it offers a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and nutty flavors in every bite. Ideal for gatherings or simple family meals, it requires minimal prep and no cooking.

Ingredients

Salad Base

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Fruit

  • 4 cups seedless red grapes
  • 4 cups seedless green grapes
  • 4 cups seedless black grapes (or blue grapes)

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, white sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  2. Add Grapes: Gently fold in the seedless red, green, and black grapes until they are evenly coated with the creamy mixture, taking care to not crush the grapes.
  3. Chill: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least one hour or up to overnight to allow flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up slightly.
  4. Serve: Just before serving, sprinkle the top of the grape salad with brown sugar and chopped pecans or walnuts to add sweetness and crunch.

Notes

  • For best texture, use seedless grapes to avoid seeds in the salad.
  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a tangier flavor and added protein.
  • Chilling overnight enhances the flavors and makes the salad more refreshing.
  • Walnuts can be used in place of pecans based on preference or availability.
  • This salad is best served cold and should be consumed within 2 days for optimal freshness.
