Description

Delight in these irresistible Chocolate Peanut Butter Dates, a quick and easy no-bake treat combining the natural sweetness of Medjool dates, creamy peanut butter, rich dark chocolate, and crunchy nuts. Perfect for a healthy snack or a decadent dessert that comes together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Dates and Filling

  • 12 Medjool dates
  • 12 teaspoons peanut butter

Chocolate and Nuts

  • 3.5 ounces (100 grams) dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped pistachios
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dates: Cut each Medjool date down the center lengthwise and carefully remove the pit, making room to fill with peanut butter.
  2. Fill Dates: Spoon 1 teaspoon of peanut butter into the cavity of each pitted date, ensuring they are nicely filled but not overstuffed.
  3. Melt Chocolate and Prep Nuts: Gently melt the dark chocolate until smooth and pourable. Spread the chopped pistachios and almonds separately on a cutting board or plate for easy dipping.
  4. Dip Dates: Dip half of each peanut butter-filled date into the melted dark chocolate, then immediately roll or sprinkle with either the chopped pistachios or almonds to coat the chocolate-covered section.
  5. Set and Chill: Place the coated dates on a piece of parchment or wax paper, spacing them out to prevent sticking, and refrigerate for about 20 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
  6. Serve: Once chilled and firm, serve these delicious chocolate peanut butter dates as a sweet snack or dessert.

Notes

  • Medjool dates are preferred for their natural sweetness and soft texture but any large, soft date variety can work.
  • You can substitute peanut butter with almond butter or cashew butter for a different flavor profile.
  • If you have nut allergies, skip the chopped nuts or use seeds like pumpkin or sunflower seeds.
  • Use high-quality dark chocolate with at least 60% cocoa for the best rich flavor and smooth melting.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
