Description

A simple and nutritious Blueberry Overnight Oats recipe that combines oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, and fresh or frozen blueberries. Perfect for a quick, healthy breakfast ready to enjoy straight from the fridge or lightly warmed.

Ingredients

Oats and Liquids

  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (or regular yogurt)

Add-ins

  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup (or agave, or honey)
  • 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, chia seeds, and blueberries into a jar or sealable container. Mix thoroughly to ensure everything is well combined.
  2. Refrigerate Overnight: Seal the container and store it in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours to allow the oats and chia seeds to soak and soften.
  3. Serve: Eat the oats straight out of the jar cold, or warm them up in the microwave for about 45 seconds if preferred. For best taste and texture, consume within 24 hours, though it can last up to 5 days refrigerated. Optionally, add extra blueberries on top before serving.

Notes

  • Note 1: Use rolled oats for best texture; steel-cut oats may require longer soaking.
  • Note 2: Greek yogurt adds creaminess and protein, but regular yogurt can be used as a substitute.
