Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Big Mac Tacos combine the classic flavors of a Big Mac burger transformed into a fun, handheld taco format. Featuring a homemade Big Mac sauce and seasoned ground beef, these tacos are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or casual get-together.

Ingredients

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Taco Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef (medium)
  • 1 small yellow onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper

Assembling the Tacos

  • 8 soft taco shells
  • 8 cheddar cheese slices
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Pickle slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle juice, minced dill pickle, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sea salt, ground pepper, and smoked paprika. Whisk thoroughly until the sauce is smooth and well blended. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up the meat and ensure even cooking.
  3. Season and Finish Cooking the Beef: Drain excess fat from the pan. Add the chopped onion, sea salt, and ground pepper to the beef. Continue cooking for another couple of minutes until the beef is fully cooked and no pink remains, and the onions are softened.
  4. Assemble the Tacos: Warm the soft taco shells as desired. Spoon about 1/8th of the beef mixture onto each taco shell. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, pickle slices, and a generous dollop of the prepared Big Mac sauce.

Notes

  • To keep tacos warm, wrap them in foil before serving.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • For added crunch, add diced onions or shredded carrots to the tacos.
  • Use low-fat mayo to reduce calories.
  • Soft taco shells can be warmed in the oven or microwave before assembly.
