Ingredients
Big Mac Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle, minced
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef (medium)
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
Assembly
- 4 sesame seed buns
- 4 cheddar cheese slices
- Pickle slices
- Lettuce, shredded
Instructions
- Make Big Mac Sauce: Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle juice, minced dill pickle, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sea salt, ground pepper, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Whisk until fully mixed and set the sauce in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to break it up and ensure even cooking.
- Finish Beef Mixture: Drain excess fat from the pan. Add the chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, sea salt, and ground pepper to the beef. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully cooked, no longer pink, and the onions are softened.
- Assemble Sloppy Joes: Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each sesame seed bun. Spoon approximately one-quarter of the beef mixture over the cheese. Top the beef with shredded lettuce, pickle slices, and a generous spoonful of the refrigerated Big Mac sauce. Place the top bun on each sandwich.
- Serve: Repeat assembly for the remaining three sandwiches and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- For a leaner option, use lean ground beef and drain fat thoroughly.
- The Big Mac sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to substitute cheddar cheese with American cheese for a more authentic Big Mac flavor.
- Serve with crispy fries or a side salad for a complete meal.
