Description

Enjoy a delicious twist on a classic fast-food favorite with these Big Mac Sliders. Juicy ground beef, melted cheddar, fresh lettuce, and a tangy homemade Big Mac sauce are all layered between soft, buttery Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for parties, game day, or a fun family dinner, these sliders deliver that iconic Big Mac flavor in a convenient, bite-sized form.

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup white onion, finely diced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Slider Assembly

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (kept connected)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • Fresh lettuce, shredded

Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until it starts to brown, then add the finely diced onion and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned and the onion is soft. Season with salt and pepper to taste and then remove from heat.
  2. Prepare the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them connected. Brush the cut sides with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  3. Toast the Rolls: Place the cut sides up on a baking dish and broil on low for 3–5 minutes until golden brown. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  4. Mix the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, grated onion, mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and set aside.
  5. Assemble the Sliders: Spread the Big Mac sauce evenly over both the bottom and top halves of the toasted rolls. Layer 4 slices of cheddar cheese over the bottom half, then spoon the cooked beef mixture evenly on top of the cheese.
  6. Add More Cheese and Lettuce: Place the remaining 4 slices of cheddar cheese over the beef and sprinkle shredded lettuce on top. Cover with the top halves of the rolls and brush the tops with olive oil.
  7. Bake the Sliders: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake the sliders for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
  8. Serve: Slice along the seams to separate the sliders and serve them warm. Enjoy your Big Mac-inspired sliders fresh out of the oven.

Notes

  • Watch the rolls carefully when broiling to prevent burning as broilers can vary in intensity.
  • Keep the Hawaiian rolls connected during assembly for easier handling and slicing later.
  • Feel free to add extra pickles or cheese slices according to taste preferences.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead by cooking the beef mixture and sauce, then assembling just before baking.
  • For a crispier top, brush the rolls with olive oil in addition to the butter before broiling.
