Ingredients
Big Mac Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
- ½ tablespoon dill pickle, minced
- ½ tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
Meat and Toppings
- 1 pound ground beef (medium)
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 ready-to-top pizza crust
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup lettuce, shredded
- 2-3 pickles, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the pizza.
- Prepare Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle juice, minced dill pickle, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sea salt, ground pepper, and smoked paprika. Whisk everything together until smooth and well blended. Set aside for later use.
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season Meat: Drain excess fat from the pan. Add chopped yellow onion, 1 teaspoon sea salt, and ½ teaspoon ground pepper to the beef. Continue to cook for a few more minutes until the beef is fully cooked and no longer pink, and onions are softened.
- Assemble Pizza Base: Place the ready pizza crust on a pizza pan or baking sheet. Spread the cooked meat and onion mixture evenly over the crust.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of the meat-covered crust.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the crust is heated through.
- Add Fresh Toppings: Remove the pizza from the oven and top with shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, and drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce over the top.
- Serve: Slice the pizza into portions and serve immediately to enjoy the Big Mac inspired flavors with a delightful crispy crust.
Notes
- Make sure to strain excess fat from the cooked beef to prevent a greasy pizza.
- Use a pizza stone or pizza pan for crisper crust results.
- You can adjust the amount of Big Mac sauce depending on your taste preference.
- For a healthier twist, use lean ground beef or ground turkey and a whole wheat pizza crust.
- Shredded iceberg lettuce works best to mimic the classic Big Mac texture.
