Description

Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Red Potatoes are a simple and healthy side dish perfect for any meal. These tender red potatoes are seasoned with garlic powder, black pepper, and kosher salt, then air fried to a golden brown finish and garnished with fresh parsley for a deliciously easy recipe.

Ingredients

Potatoes

  • 1.5 pounds (680 grams) red potatoes

Seasoning & Oil

  • 2 tablespoons (26 grams) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Potatoes: Wash and scrub the red potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Cut the potatoes into halves or quarters, ensuring each piece is about 1-inch in size for even cooking.
  2. Season Potatoes: Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over them, then sprinkle the kosher salt, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Stir well to evenly coat all potato pieces with the oil and spices.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer & Arrange Potatoes: Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket in a single layer, allowing space for air circulation to ensure crispiness.
  4. Air Fry: Cook the potatoes in the air fryer at 400°F (205°C) for 20 to 22 minutes. Every 5 minutes, shake the basket to turn the potatoes, ensuring they cook evenly and develop a golden brown color.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Once the potatoes are tender and crispy, transfer them to a serving dish. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top to add a fresh, vibrant flavor before serving.
  6. Store Leftovers: Place any leftover potatoes in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 to 4 days. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 to 7 minutes to regain their crispiness.

Notes

  • Ensure potatoes are cut evenly to promote uniform cooking.
  • Shake the air fryer basket regularly to prevent sticking and promote even browning.
  • Use fresh parsley for best flavor, or substitute with dried parsley if unavailable.
  • Leftover potatoes reheat best in the air fryer to maintain crispness, avoid using the microwave.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, particularly salt and pepper.
