Description

These Air Fryer Greek Yogurt Donuts are a light and fluffy treat that combines the tangy richness of Greek yogurt with a tender donut texture. Perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a healthier twist, they come together quickly and can be finished with your choice of powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar topping.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • 2 teaspoons Powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar mix

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the plain Greek yogurt, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine Batter: Carefully fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Be cautious not to overmix to keep the donuts tender.
  4. Prepare Donut Pan: Lightly grease a silicone or metal donut pan that fits your air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  5. Fill Donut Molds: Spoon the batter into each donut mold, filling about ¾ full to allow room for rising.
  6. Air Fry Donuts: Place the donut pan in the air fryer basket and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 8–10 minutes. The donuts should be golden and spring back to the touch when done.
  7. Cool and Add Toppings: Remove the donuts from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with your choice of powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar mix before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to avoid dense donuts.
  • Use a silicone or metal pan that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket.
  • Check donuts at 8 minutes to prevent overcooking depending on your air fryer model.
  • Let donuts cool slightly before adding sugary toppings to prevent melting.
  • For variation, try adding lemon zest or nutmeg to the batter for additional flavor.
