Description
Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer French Fries made with simple seasonings and olive oil. These fries are easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy snack or side dish with a satisfyingly golden exterior and tender inside.
Ingredients
Potatoes
- 1 lb russet potatoes (2 large or 3 medium potatoes)
Seasonings and Oil
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper (or to taste)
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub and clean the potatoes thoroughly. Cut the potatoes into even ¼-inch thick strips to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Rinse and Dry: Rinse the cut fries in cold water to remove excess starch, then thoroughly pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to help achieve a crispy texture when air fried.
- Season the Fries: Place the dried potato strips in a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika over them, then toss again to distribute the seasonings well.
- Air Fry the Fries: Transfer the seasoned fries into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, toss the fries gently to ensure even cooking, then continue to air fry for an additional 6 to 10 minutes until the fries turn golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the fries from the air fryer, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce for a delicious snack or side dish.
Notes
- For best results, make sure to dry the fries completely before seasoning and air frying.
- Cooking times may vary depending on the air fryer model and potato size, so keep an eye on the fries to avoid burning.
- Cut fries evenly to ensure uniform cooking and crispiness.
- You can customize the seasonings to your preference by adding herbs like rosemary or spices like cayenne for heat.
