Description

A quick and delicious Air Fryer Apple Pie Toast recipe that combines crunchy bread with sweet spiced apples, almond butter, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for a cozy breakfast or snack, this recipe brings the flavors of apple pie to your toast in just minutes using an air fryer or oven.

Ingredients

Toast Base

  • 1 slice bread (preferably sourdough)

Spread & Toppings

  • 1-2 tablespoons almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/4 apple, finely sliced
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped mint (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread Almond Butter: Evenly spread 1-2 tablespoons of almond butter or peanut butter on the slice of bread to create a flavorful base.
  2. Add Apple Slices and Season: Layer the finely sliced apple pieces on top of the almond butter. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon over the apples, and drizzle 1 teaspoon of honey to add sweetness and spice.
  3. Air Fry or Bake the Toast: Place the prepared toast into an air fryer and cook at 400°F for 6 minutes until the bread is crisp and the apples are tender. Alternatively, bake in a conventional oven at 400°F for about 10 minutes on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the toast and top with fresh chopped mint and optional bee pollen for a fresh finish and a nutritional boost. Serve immediately for the best taste.

Notes

  • You can substitute almond butter with any nut or seed butter of your choice.
  • Using sourdough bread provides a nice tang and sturdy base for the toppings.
  • Bee pollen and fresh mint are optional but add extra flavor and nutrition.
  • If you don't have an air fryer, baking in the oven is an excellent alternative.
  • For a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey.
